KCB make it back into the KPL.
KCB have made it back into the Kenyan Premier League after defeating FC Talanta 2-0 at the Camp Toyoyo grounds. With a few games to spare, the bankers definitely picked their game up to finally make it back to Kenya’s top flight football.
The bankers saw out the win with an outstanding defensive display which enabled them to reach their ultimate goal for the season.
After a long spell of possession, the bankers took the lead Dennis Gichure after some great build up play in the midfield area.
The second half was played at a very high intensity because the players knew that they had to win the game to secure a long awaited return to the KPL. Through that intensity, the bankers made it 2-0 after the KCB forward was brought down in the six-yard area. Up stepped Munala Simon who calmly slotted away the sport kick to make it 2-0.
Coach Ayany was more than grateful to have his players pay at such high intensity in what was a though game. He added that, “he’d like to thank God for making it back to premier league but stressed that the season was not over just yet with their next opponents being Nairobi Stima on the 14th of October at the Camp Toyoyo grounds.
