The chair of tourism, culture, sports and gender at the homa bay
county assembly hon. Kevin Onyango says that he has a plan of
upgrading playing fields available in the county.
Hon. Onyango noted that all the playing fields that were not in good
shape are going to be improved as a way of ensuring that the youths
get where to nurture their talents.
Addressing the press in homa bay after visiting homa bay stadium, hon.
Onyango noted that he has received complaints from the youths of
Kasipul constituency that there is no stadium in the area and for that
confirmed that he will work hard to ensure that the land which was
bought by the C.D.F to be used as the stadium is fenced and levelled
so that people can start using it and this he is going to do in
collaboration with the minister in-charge of tourism, culture, sports
and Gender who has assumed the office officially.
At the same time, he appealed to members of the public to leave
elected, nominated and appointed leaders to work for them and this can
only be reality when there is peace and humble time too.
As a result, he also confirmed that the public should not stop paying
taxes since it is through these taxes that the county will develop and
grow economically assuring the public that the governor had promised
them that there will be accountability of every fund spent.
