Teachers in homa Bay County have been told to embrace the policies released by the Teachers Service Commission (T.S.C) so that they can improve the education standards in their schools.
According to the County T.S.C director madam Beatrice Agalla, Teachers Performance and Appraisal Development (TPAD) has helped teachers to keep their records and also ensure they attend their lessons without a miss therefore they should embrace it because it is not a must that for a teacher to up load anything he/she must visit the cyber Café instead she/he can use his/her smart phone.
Speaking during County education day in homa bay boys high school, madam Agalla noted that the promotion which the teachers and unions have been crying for comes as a result of performance and promotion comes when vacancy arises then advertised in the T.S.C website therefore the teachers should keep on visiting this site so that they can get to know what is new and what is not.
However, urged the Teachers unions to always tell their teachers the truth because as T.S.C they cannot do anything that aims at hindering performance of teachers and for that Union should not oppose any directive given by the T.S.C.
As a result, she urged the teachers to follow T.S.C code of conduct so that they can excel in their respective schools.
Adding that they will not tolerate cases of indiscipline among teachers, meanwhile advised the heads of schools not to allow strangers to mix with the student in school as a way of addressing issues of insecurity where outsiders invade schools.
