SportPesa is proud to announce that the company’s CEO, Captain Ronald Karauri, has been ranked 22nd on the Choiseul 100 Africa – Economic leaders for tomorrow.

The Choiseul 100 Africa is an annual study carried out by the Institute Choiseul. It identifies and ranks the 200 young Africans under 40 who will play a major role in African development in the near future. The list includes leaders of growing businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, etc., which embody the dynamism and renewal of the continent and inspire future generations.

“I am honoured to be to be part of the Choiseul 100 Africa – Economic leaders of tomorrow and I’m more motivated than ever to continue contributing to the renewal of the African economic governance. However, this is not a one-man-job and I thank my SportPesa family for all their support and hard work. At SportPesa, it’s not just our gamers who are winners, but SportPesa is truly ‘made of winners’,” says Karauri.

Karauri leads a team of over 300 employees (and growing) at SportPesa, an online sports gaming company. SportPesa is an innovative market leader in sports gaming that is committed to inspiring and uplifting communities in which it operates. Through shared value sponsorships and partnerships, one of Karauri’s and his team’s key focus areas is to contribute to the sustainable growth of sports in Africa.

Besides Ronald’s prestigious award, the company has been selected as a Superbrand for the second year in a row. The Superbrand certification recognises companies that are embracing change, made exponential growth strides and pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability.

“Africa is home to a number of sports gaming advocates that create job opportunities for many young Africans while enabling gamers to make money, generating tax revenue for the government, which increase as the company grows, and contributes to the economic growth of African countries. As a major player in sports and online sports gaming, SportPesa has an opportunity and a duty to use our influence for societal wellbeing and economic development of Africa,” says Karauri.
