Over 500 learners in Kakamega, Vihiga and Siaya counties are set to benefit from different education infrastructure projects funded by the Safaricom Foundation.
Shidodo Primary School in Kakamega received a furnished classroom for 14 students with special needs, a 10,000 litre water tank and new sanitation facilities including new toilets. Siekuti Primary School in Vihiga got 3 renovated classrooms for students in Grade 1, 2 and 3.
In Nyanza, Kipasi Secondary School in Siaya County received a furnished library, The school with 352 students, will benefit from the library which will sit 40 students. The library has also been furnished with shelves and reading tables.
“ We are very much aware that having proper facilities ensures smooth delivery of teaching and learning. This is why we continue to support infrastructure projects in different schools across the county as part of our commitment to education”, said Joseph Ogutu, Safaricom Foundation Chairman.
