Long queues were witnessed in a number of Huduma Namba centers across Kisumu city barely a day to the end of the exercise.
Residents woke up early to reserve first slots to be able to return to their work places.
According to the locals, they have faulted the government for not carrying out a vigorous awareness creation on the Huduma Namba.
Christine Owiti, a hawker in Kisumu says she is just racing against time to get the Namba but would wish to know what it entails.
Owiti says the personnel is few making the exercise to be difficult and tedious.
She says there is need to continue with civic education on the benefits of the initiative noting that majority are taking it because of hard stance taken by the government.
Felix Onyango, a resident, asked for more time to enable those who have not registered to get the opportunity.
Onyango appealed to interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i to add more months so that no Kenyan is left behind.
