According to Rongo Sub county director of Education Mr.Charles Nyaribo,he said that Sigiria secondary is among the schools whose results were withheld in Migori County over irregularities saying they got a report from the KNEC over the release of the exams and all the students who sat the exams last year from the school have received their results saying that their results have improved positively compared to last year’s exams urging parents from the region never to panic and stop rumors over the matter but only ensure that they go to the school or upload the results from the internet as have been done before in a bid to see how they performed.
While speaking to press after officially submitting the results to the school head teacher Nyaribo expressed his delightment over the results and the quality grades the students managed to get compared to the number of registered candidates for the exams urging the students and the community at large to ensure they aim higher in term of education for their future endeavors.
The school principal Mrs.Philice Ochieng appreciated the students for their hard work and showing that they can do well in exams Promising to ensure more quality grades in this year’s exams is realized from the students due to the cooperation and conducive environment the students, the community and the teachers have put.
Area residents have expressed concern over the release of the results calling for speedy check of the results withheld to save the situation of subjecting innocent young Kenyans to suffer for mistakes committed by disgruntle elements for personal gains.
Some other schools in Migori County which are yet to receive their results from the KNEC whose results were withheld includes, Nyabisawa girls from Suna west Sub county,Agenga Mixed secondary school, Moi Nyatike,Kibuon,Lwanda Magwar both from Nyatike Sub county, Komotobo in Kuria East,Nyankore-Mabera in Kuria west.
