Catholic Bishop of Ngong’ Dioses Rev.John Oballa has a pealed for Migori residents and the Kenyans as a whole to ensure they promote peace and cohesion ahead of the August polls.

Speaking to press at St.Alberts Ulanda girls high school in Awendo sub county Migori, where he presided over the mass in celebrating the 50th year Jubilee of the school, John said there is need to observe and embrace peace saying it is the only way the people will get the opportunity to elect the leaders they want and those who can transform this country economically.

He called on the political class to observe sobriety at all times if they want the electorate to vote for them linking them to be the ones who always cause chaos and incite their supports something he said would not be witnessed in this election.

Meanwhile he said all schools in the country despite their religious background have the obligations to mostly focus on giving them knowledge without any discrimination as have been witnessed in some schools in the country.

He said every child has a right to education and in a conducive environment saying that this would enable them to focus and achieve greatly in their lives commending the school for its exemplary performance and allowing every child

On her part,Migori County women representative Dr.Pamela Odhiambo who also attended the function called on the residents to come out in their large numbers and ensure they vote in peace during the August polls saying that is the only way they will get the best leaders they want.
