Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has launched a hotline number to mobilize voters as the one month IEBC mass voter registration period closes in.
Ranguma said the numbers already registered are not impressive thus the new measures to increase the number of new voters in the county.
He called upon the residents to call the number in case they discovered people who have not registered as voters.
Speaking during the launch of the hotline number, Ranguma says there are a number of challenges most people in the county face in their effort to register.
He announced that he has dispatched seven vehicles for the seven sub counties alongside motorbikes to help in ferrying potential voter to register.
The Governor says there will be a team on standby to respond to calls from the residents in regard to voter registration.
Ranguma says the last minute measure is meant to ensure that nobody is left out during the registration period sated to end by next week.
