Kisumu County Police Commander Job Boronjo has assured of proper security a head of the ceremony.
Boronjo says there is enough security personnel to guide the procession of the Bishop to Kisumu since a number of Catholic faithful will turn in large numbers to welcome their new head.
Speaking to the press at the University, the venue of the ceremony, the police commander confirmed that Bishop Anyolo will leave his former station, Homa Bay Catholic Church tomorrow at 11 am.
Plans are that he will be handed over to Kisumu Catholic Archdiocese team at the border of Kisumu and Homa Bay (Nyakwere) before a procession to Kisumu.
Boronjo says the Bishop will then make a stopover at Kibuye Catholic Church, the seat of power, before making the final leg of his journey to Ukweli Pastoral Centre, in the outskirts of Kisumu City where he will spend the night before the ceremony on Saturday.
Earlier, Father Samuel Nyataya had confirmed that they had sent invitation to the head of state President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Sources indicated that so far only Raila Odinga has confirmed his attendance.
Bishop Anyolo who doubles up as the chairman of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) will be taking over from Archbishop Zacchaues Okoth.
Archbishop Okoth is retiring after servicing in the position since 1990.
