Gor’s Time to Party?

By Marvin Okungu

Gor Mahia will be crowned sportpesa premier league champions today, should they beat Nzoia Sugar FC, in today’s premier league fixture which is set to be played at the Mumias Complex, Kakamega County starting from 3pm.

Victory today will push Kogallo to 69 points and here, no one can catch up with them, as the second placed Sofapaka, can only manage 68 points should they win their remaining 4 fixtures.

Nzoia, who recently skipped their match against AFC Leopards, owing to a row over venue, are however assured of their place in the top flight next season hence got nothing to loose should they fail to win today.

Gor Mahia head coach, Hassan Oktay, says he is not leaving anything to chance and believes this fixture is very important for him as a coach, the players, management of the club  and to the kogallo fans, hence he will field his strongest side.

In other Sportpesa premier league fixtures today, Zoo Kericho will host Kisumu based Western Stima at Green stadium,Kericho, as Sony Sugar Fc welcomes Sportpesa Supercup winners Kariobangi Sharks at Awendo Green Stadium. AFC leopards will square it out with the Bankers, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB fc)at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
