Investment, resource mobilization and partnership docket in Kisumu County has managed to bring in a team of doctors conducting free eye clinic in the county for the next ten days.
The head of the docket Victor Nyagaya says his office approached Lions Eye hospital in Nairobi in partnership with Medical Education Aid United Kingdom to come to Kisumu for the event.
The team has for the last three days camped at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospitals where they have been attending to patients with eye problems.
Nyagaya says the team are offering professional surgery, giving drugs and reading glasses all at no cost.
Speaking to the press after visiting the team at Jaramogi hospital, Nyagaya called upon residents of Kisumu County to turn out in large numbers to benefit from the free medical camp.
He announced that for the next three days starting today, the team will move to Katito in Nyakach constituency to offer the same services to the residents.
Nyagaya says the next and last stop on Monday will be at Kombewa sub county hospital in Seme where the team is expected to continue offering similar services for the next two days
