The government of Kenya through the security personnel will this time use more police officers in enhancing security in and out of the exam premises.
Mr.Simon Odero, the chief staff in the ministry of education, said that a trend had been established where few individuals were used by the teachers and school heads to bring fake papers by use of boda boda operators and other structures surrounding schools something that would be put under surveillance by the security personnel.
While reading a speech on behalf of the cabinet secretary of education Prof.George Magoha during the Uriri sub county education Day held at Rapogi High School, Mr. Odero said that police officers would be put two kilometers away from the exam centres among other measures hence averting such cases of irregularities associated with poor management of exams in the past to have a valid and credible exams results among the candidates.
On his part Uriri MP Mark Ogolla Nyamita who also attended the function urged the ministry of education to ensure they support various development of schools in terms of infrastructure due to the 100% transition to secondary schools which is greatly affected as this would be the only opportunity to ensure education standards in area was enhanced.
He at the same time condemned the indiscipline cases of cropping in schools of fire incidences saying it was disheartening to see government, parents and leaders spend too much resources in putting up infrastructural development and later being burnt by the students something that should not be encouraged urging parents and the community surrounding the schools to give support in disciplining such individuals in such cases.
The event was also attended by Migori County Education director Mrs. Elizabeth Otieno, various MCAs from Uriri Sub County among other leaders.
