Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission is being challenged to ensure they move to mashinani and assist in investigating several cases of corruption rather than staying in Nairobi.

According to MCA for Central Alego Ward hon. Leonard Oriaro, it is so bad that EACC is concentrating in Nairobi yet a lot of misappropriations are happening in the villages, citing a case of Sese Bridge which connects Siaya and Ugunja constituency where a lot of money has been allocated towards its construction since 2013 but nothing is happening.

Speaking when he visited Sese Bridge, hon. Oriaro therefore called upon the county governor H.E Cornel Amoth Rasanga to move with speed and take necessary action upon the contractor for squandering money but doing no job.

As a result, he called the EACC to come down and investigate the procurement department in the county since as leaders they cannot sit and watch as the money allocated to projects are not being spent properly as whole blames left on the MCAs who are only doing the oversight but not doing implementation work.
