Deputy president Dr. William Ruto told off critics to stop peddling lies over his relations with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Dr. Ruto said that in the recent past some few individuals who are opposed to the unity and togetherness of the people of Kenya were alluding of hash relationship between him and president Uhuru Kenyatta.He said that they vowed with president Kenyatta to have all Kenyans united in a bid to enhance development agenda to the people and no one should come out to divert the attention of Kenyans for their own political reasons.
While speaking in Kuria where he presided over various development agendas of launching electricity distribution in the area, commissioning of the Kehancha -Ikerege-Ntimaru road as well as presiding over a fundraising to 15 churches in the area, the deputy president showed disappointment with leaders who were engaged urging all leaders from the region and Kenya at large to unite in a bid to enhance the economy of the region through the big four agendas of Jubilee government.
He at the same time took issues with ODM leader Raila Odinga and other leaders who were against donations in churches saying that donations were self-driven and should not be subjected to debate criticizing minority leader in the national assembly John Mbadi for preparing a bill in the national assembly to have donations in churches vetted and that such was against the will of God.
In a quick rejoinder Dr. Oburu Odinga,the East African legislative Assembly member who spoke at Stella Uriri Sub county during the anniversary of the mother of Ida Odinga, took issues with Dr. Ruto for speaking ill of Raila Odinga all the time instead of coming together for the benefit of the people and added that Ruto must show kenyans where he was getting all the money he dished out in church donations.
He at the same time said that the country should now adopt the policy of non-tolerance to corruption and punish all corrupt leaders for the growth of the country economically.
