St Anthony’s Dago Kokore Secondary School hasn’t been to the county games for four years now and coach Juma Swaleh believes he has what it takes to see the Saints bag the Kisumu West Sub-county title and earn progress into the county games.
Swaleh, while speaking to Dala fm after holding his last training session with the boys’ soccer team, notes that he has a stronger side as compared to what he had last year.
”We are aiming to qualify for the county games this year. We have a strong squad, a few players who were there last year are now more experienced and we also recruited very good form one students,” he tells Dala FM.
Dago fell to eventual champions Kuoyo Secondary School last year in the semi-finals and this year, they face off right in the group stage.
Pool A: Dago Kokore, Kisian, Kuoyo, Uluowa
Pool B: Chulaimbo, Usare, Obede, Lwala Kadawa
Coach Swaleh’s team were winners in the divisional games, going the five-match stretch undefeated. They therefore qualified top alongside Obede who will feature in the second pool.
The games are set to be staged at the Maseno School from today Tuesday 28th at 9 am.
