At least 100 residents of Homa Bay county are set to attend the official release of the Building Bridges Initiative report in Nairobi today.
The residents comprise members of the business community and opinion leaders.
The group will left Homa Bay for Nairobi on yesterday ahead of the event.
A source who sought anonymity said on Monday three buses had already been arranged for the residents’ transport.
“The buses have already been hired to ferry residents who are going to attend the ceremony,” he said.
County Commissioner Harman Shambi said the residents were selected by MPs of the county.
“There is an arrangement that MPs from the county are selecting people who will attend the function,” said Shambi.
Shambi said he was aware of the residents’ journey to Nairobi.
“This is a political process being undertaken by politicians. I am only aware that the residents are going to attend the function in Nairobi,” Shambi said.
